Frequently asked questions

Our roses are propagated and grown in Canada, near the heartland of Alberta.

We sell miniature and shrub roses within Canada only.  Our 1-2 year old plants are sold in 3.5" black pots (miniatures) or bare-foot with some soil (shrubs), and are labelled, and insect- and disease- free when they leave the greenhouse.  Smaller plants may be available upon request.

The roses are shipped directly from the greenhouse and will need to be hardened off before planting outside.

The roses are not intended to be grown indoors and should be planted outside in pots, hanging baskets or flower beds.

We cannot guarantee winter survival. Most of the minis are hardy to Zone 3 and may require minimal winter protection in some areas.  Our shrubs are generally hardy to Zone 2.

We sell and ship roses within Canada only.

Roses will be shipped on Mondays (excepting holidays) from April 14 to June 16.  The shipping date must be selected during the checkout process.  If you wish your roses to be shipped on a different date, please contact us before placing your order.

Why Mondays?  It's all about the survivability of the plants.  There's a good chance, depending where in the country you are, that you will receive your roses by the Friday following your chosen Monday which means your roses don't have to spend the weekend travelling.  Roses going to locations further afield will only spend one weekend in shipping, if that.

Shipping is through Canada Post Express Post.

We sell and ship roses within Canada only, Mondays from April 14 to June 16.

Can you add roses to your already placed and paid for order?  The simple answer is yes, you can, up until the week before your chosen shipping date.  The not-so-simple answer is that it's a complicated process but if you want more roses (and who doesn't), we can make it happen!

The complicated process: please contact us directly if you want to do this, rather than placing a new order through the website.  If you place a new order though the website, then your new roses will be shipped separately (even if you choose the same date) with associated shipping costs.  If you contact us directly, then we can add the new roses to your old order, recalculate shipping costs but please note, payment will have to be done through e-transfer rather than credit card.
